Keep Your Panic Away Through Meditation

Meditation can work wonders for different kinds of ailments.  As a treatment method, it has proven that it can help an individual reach a comforted, relaxed and soothed state during the course of the meditation.  For people who suffer from anxiety attacks, it can allow an individual who recognizes that they are entering a state of panic to remain calm, focus on their breathing and get control of where the attack is taking them emotionally.   To do this, you must exert a great deal of control over your own mental state, even with the feeling of impending doom creeping upon you.  To keep the panic away, first take in your surroundings and acknowledge where you are. Then focus on breathing slowly by taking deep breaths, inhaling through your nose and exhaling through your mouth, while continuing to focus on slowing yourself down.  This method may not work for everyone, but it will at least get you to focus on something other than the attack itself, at least for a few minutes, in hopes of regaining your composure.
